Privacy Policy

Last updated July 26, 2026.

This page explains what information Ohana Belltown collects through this website, our loyalty program, and staff/customer accounts, and how it's used. It's written in plain language rather than dense legal boilerplate — if anything's unclear, contact us using the details at the bottom.

What we collect

If you create a customer account: your name, email address, and a password (stored as a one-way hash — we never see or store your actual password). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and a Google account identifier, not your Google password.

If you use the sushi punch card: your phone number, and your punch/reward history tied to it. If you submit a photo or social post for a bonus punch, we keep that photo or link along with your phone number and whatever note you include.

If you're a staff member: your name, username, an optional email address, and role — set up by an admin or by you from your account page.

Anonymous site analytics: we run our own basic, cookie-free analytics that count page visits per day (e.g. "the menu page was viewed 42 times on Tuesday"). This is aggregated traffic data, not tied to you individually, doesn't use third-party trackers or advertising cookies, and is automatically deleted after 120 days.

A random id kept in your browser: the first time you place a table order, scroll past a menu item, or tap one's photo or listing, your browser generates a random id (not tied to your name or any account) and stores it locally so it can show you your own past orders later and so we can see which menu items and photos get shown and tapped, without knowing who's doing the tapping. If you're signed in, this is also linked to your account. Order history tied to this id is kept for 90 days and menu-browsing data for 120, both auto-deleted after.

We do not collect or store credit card or payment information anywhere on this site. Online ordering is handled entirely by ChowNow, a separate company with its own privacy policy — we'd encourage reviewing theirs if you order through them.

How we use it

Who we share it with

We use a small number of outside services to run the site, each only for what they're named for:

We don't share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

Your choices

From My Account you can either deactivate your account (ends your session and blocks future logins, but keeps your data on file in case you want it restored — contact us for that) or permanently delete it (immediately and irreversibly erases your name, email, photo, and any Google/Apple/Facebook link — nothing to restore afterward). If you signed in with Facebook and would rather delete through Facebook's own settings instead of ours, Facebook will notify us directly and we'll process it the same way, automatically. For anything else — corrections, other privacy questions — contact us using the information below.

Children's privacy

This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
